Sometimes I'll make you mad.
Another thing I know for sure,
You'll learn to drive with Dad!
I'll lend an ear or give you space.
I'll say, "I'm proud of you."
When I say "No" remember this,
I want what's best for you.
The world awaits your growing up
But me, well, it can keep.
For now I'll hold you closer still
And rock you as you sleep.
